Heavy Equipment Lifting and Stabilization class

Saturday, October 10, 2020

Over the weekend Heavy Rescue 11 participated in a two day Heavy Equipment Lifting and Stabilization class hosted by Beaver Lane Fire & Rescue in Monroe, NC. This rare training opportunity had many complex scenarios that tested the skills of everyone involved. Crews lifted and stabilized very heavy loads in order to extricate simulated patients. Rescue 11’s new Paratech Hydrafusion heavy lift struts were one of the primary methods used throughout the class. This training along with new equipment is part of AVFD’s ongoing efforts to provide the highest level of service possible to our community.
